How to Turn on the Headlights of Lavida?

I've driven several Lavida models, and the basic operations are quite similar. First, sit in the driver's seat. There's a knob or lever on the left side of the steering wheel. For knob-type controls, turning it clockwise once activates the position lights (a green indicator will appear on the dashboard), and turning it one more notch turns on the low beams. To activate the high beams, push the entire lever toward the steering wheel, and a blue high beam indicator will light up. The fog light switch is usually located next to the knob - look for the button with a wavy arrow symbol. Remember to manually turn on the lights at night, and don't forget to activate them when driving through tunnels during daytime. For models with automatic headlights, setting it to AUTO mode is the most convenient option.

Turning on the headlights of the Lavida varies in two scenarios. For older Lavida models, there is a round knob on the left side of the dashboard near the driver's seat. Turning it to '0' means off, to the cat's eye symbol for parking lights, and all the way to the slashed pattern for low beams. Newer Lavida models use the left lever on the steering wheel for control, with a knob at the end marked AUTO/OFF/parking light symbol. To activate the high beams, regardless of the model, push the lever towards the front of the car until it clicks, indicated by a blue light on the dashboard. Locate the stalk head with the light symbol and rotate it to the corresponding position: O means off, the parking light is indicated by a small light icon, and the low beam is represented by a diagonal line icon. On the new Lavida models, the knob is integrated into the stalk head, while older models have a separate round knob. To activate the high beams, push the entire stalk forward. For fog lights, press the separate fog light button nearby. In automatic transmission models, simply turn to AUTO mode and the lights will automatically turn on in tunnels or when it gets dark.

The lighting control logic of Volkswagen cars is very consistent. In the Lavida, you can find the light stalk above the left knee area. It depends on the model year. For pre-2018 Lavida models, the light knob is located on the far left of the dashboard.
