How to Solve Water Leakage in the Door of a 2011 Lavida?

It only relies on a piece of waterproof plastic sheet inside the door panel. If the door has been disassembled, it may easily cause water leakage. You can replace the waterproof plastic sheet. Check whether the door sealing rubber strip is aged or cracked. Poor sealing can also cause external water to penetrate. Check if the drainage holes of the sunroof and doors are blocked. You can use a thin iron wire to poke the drainage holes under the door to unclog them.
I also encountered the issue of water leakage in the car door with my Lavida. The drainage holes on the 2011 model are particularly prone to clogging, allowing rainwater and mud to enter but not drain out. My solution is to first locate the drainage holes at the bottom of the door and use a thin wire or straw to clear any blockages. If the holes are clogged, water will accumulate inside the door. Next, check the door seals. On older cars, the rubber seals may have aged, deformed, or lifted, allowing water to seep in. You can spray some rubber lubricant to tighten them. If water intrusion is severe, the electrical circuits and speakers inside the door may short-circuit. I once ignored this issue and ended up with a malfunctioning rear window control button. If you can't fix it yourself, take it to a repair shop to replace the seals or perform a sealing test. For regular maintenance, remember to check if the door seams are dry after washing the car. Prevention is better than dealing with problems later.
