How to Shift Gears in Volkswagen Bora?

In the "D" gear position, press the brake and push the handle to the right to switch to manual mode. When going uphill, more power is needed, so you should use "D-" to downshift the vehicle and obtain higher torque for climbing. Some slopes are not very steep, and keeping the gear too low in such cases would waste power. You should promptly use "D+" to upshift. If the power is still insufficient, you can use the S gear (sport mode). When going downhill, it is recommended to use "D+" to upshift—use gear 3 for gentle slopes and gear 2 for steep slopes to prevent premature wear of the brake pads.
I used to drive a Volkswagen Bora manual transmission model, and shifting gears was quite smooth. When starting, press the clutch pedal, engage first gear, slowly release the clutch, and press the accelerator. Once the car starts moving, when the RPM reaches around 2500, press the clutch and shift to second gear. Using higher gears on the highway saves more fuel. When reversing, make sure the car is completely stopped before shifting to R gear—never operate it while moving, as it can damage the transmission. Driving an automatic transmission is even easier: press the brake, shift the lever to D gear, and go; use P gear when stopping. If there’s a sport mode, switch to S gear for more excitement, but don’t drive too aggressively in daily use. Shift gears gently to avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and regularly check the transmission fluid to ensure smooth driving and fewer issues.
