Press and hold both the unlock and lock buttons on the remote key for 3 seconds until the light flashes once, and the horn sound when locking the car will be successfully set. To set it to only flash the lights without the horn sound, press and hold both the unlock and lock buttons on the remote key for 3 seconds, and the setting will be successful. To restore the original settings, press both the lock and unlock buttons again for 3 seconds until the light flashes once. Go to Settings - Sound - Screen lock sound - Play sound when locking and unlocking the screen. If you don't want the sound to play when locking the screen, you can uncheck the box.
Speaking of my BYD F3, setting up the horn beep when locking the car is quite simple. Generally, it can be done through the in-car settings menu. Get into the driver's seat without starting the engine, turn on the ignition key, and then find the vehicle settings or security options on the central control screen. There is usually a switch for the lock confirmation sound or similar option—just turn it on and you're done. If there's no display screen, try a combination of buttons on the remote, such as holding down both the lock and unlock buttons for a few seconds until you hear a confirmation beep. This feature is super useful—the horn sounds as soon as the car is locked, enhancing anti-theft security and confirming that the car is properly locked. I've been using it for years and feel much safer. If the setup fails, it might be a minor system glitch—try restarting the vehicle or checking the manual. If that doesn’t work, visit a 4S shop for adjustment. Overall, the anti-theft design of the F3 is quite hassle-free. Just remember not to modify it too frequently to avoid draining the battery.
