Method to eliminate the tire pressure light on the Volkswagen Magotan: First, turn on the ignition switch, then press and hold the tire pressure monitoring reset button until you hear a "ding" sound, then release it. The tire pressure monitoring system will store the current normal tire pressure data, automatically clear the previous data, and finally, the warning light on the dashboard will turn off, completing the tire pressure reset. There are three commonly used tire pressure monitoring methods: Direct tire pressure monitoring: The direct tire pressure monitoring device uses pressure sensors installed in each tire to directly measure the tire pressure. It uses a wireless transmitter to send the pressure information from inside the tire to a central receiver module, which then displays the tire pressure data for each tire. Indirect tire pressure monitoring: When the pressure in a tire decreases, the weight of the vehicle will cause the rolling radius of that tire to become smaller, making it rotate faster than the other wheels. By comparing the rotational speed differences between the tires, the system monitors the tire pressure. Introduction to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS): It combines the advantages of the two systems mentioned above, equipping direct sensors in two diagonally opposite tires and a 4-wheel indirect system.

I drive a 2019 Lamando and just encountered a tire pressure warning last week. First, pull over to check if the tire pressure in all four tires is normal. If there are no punctures, you can reset it. For the base model without a touchscreen, look for a button near the left-side light knob on the steering wheel with a tire and exclamation mark symbol. With the car started and stationary, press and hold this button for 5 seconds until you hear a beep and see the tire pressure light on the dashboard blink twice before turning off. For higher trim models with a touchscreen, simply go to Vehicle Settings - Tires - SET Tire Pressure Reset in the infotainment system. Note that after resetting, you must drive the car for 10 minutes to allow the system to relearn the tire pressure. Once, I turned off the car right after resetting, and the light came back on the next day. If you’ve changed the wheel size, you can also adjust the tire pressure reference value in the background settings.

A while ago, my friend bought a used Lamando, and the tire pressure warning light kept coming on. After checking, the tire pressure was fine, but the light wouldn't reset. Actually, the reset methods vary by model year. For older models from 2015-2017, it's particularly troublesome: you need to turn off the auto start-stop, power on the car by pressing the start button without stepping on the brake, and then hold the tire pressure button until the warning light goes off. For newer models in recent years, it's much simpler—after the tire pressure warning appears, reduce speed to below 40 km/h, find the tire option in the vehicle settings menu (the icon is a yellow exclamation mark), and confirm to reset. The most frustrating part is that the light might also come on after a battery disconnect. In this case, you need to locate the tire pressure module in the fuse box on the right side of the trunk, unplug and replug the connector to reset it. Some repair shops can clear the fault code for you, but doing it yourself can save you eighty bucks.

Should You Press the Brake or Clutch First When Decelerating?

When decelerating, press the brake first and then the clutch. In fact, it's not always necessary to press the clutch when braking. Frequently pressing the clutch can actually be harmful, as it wears out the clutch disc. When braking, avoid pressing the clutch initially; only press it when the car slows down and you need to shift gears. When descending a slope with brakes, neither shift to neutral nor press the clutch, as this can be dangerous. Simply maintain an appropriate gear based on the speed while going downhill. The clutch is located inside the flywheel housing between the engine and the transmission. The clutch assembly is secured to the rear plane of the flywheel with screws, and the output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the transmission. While driving, the driver can press or release the clutch pedal as needed to temporarily disconnect or gradually engage the engine and transmission, thereby cutting off or transmitting the engine's power to the transmission.

What is the actual fuel consumption of the Mondeo?

The Mondeo has a total of 4 models, including the Mondeo 2020 EcoBoost180 Luxury and Fashion models, which are equipped with a 182-horsepower engine and have an NEDC fuel consumption of 7.3L per 100km. The Mondeo 2020 EcoBoost200 Fashion and Luxury models, equipped with a 207-horsepower engine, have an NEDC fuel consumption of 7.9L per 100km. The fuel tank capacity is the same across different Mondeo models. The distance that can be covered with a full tank of fuel is as follows: For models equipped with the 182-horsepower engine, the fuel tank capacity is 62.5L, and the distance that can be covered with a full tank is 62.5/7.3*100=856km. For models equipped with the 207-horsepower engine, the fuel tank capacity is 62.5L, and the distance that can be covered with a full tank is 62.5/7.9*100=791km. The fuel consumption of a car is directly related to five major factors: driving habits, the car itself, road conditions, natural wind, and environmental temperature. Specific factors that can increase fuel consumption include: Driving habits: Aggressive driving, such as rapid acceleration, frequent overtaking, and not easing off the throttle before a red light, can increase fuel consumption. The car itself: Cars with larger engine displacements generally consume more fuel than those with smaller displacements because larger displacements usually mean higher power output, requiring more gasoline for combustion. Heavier cars also consume more fuel due to the greater driving torque needed. Road conditions: Driving on dirt roads, muddy roads, soft surfaces, or mountainous roads increases resistance and fuel consumption. Natural wind: Driving against the wind or on windy days increases resistance and fuel consumption. Low environmental temperatures: When the engine block is cold, the injected gasoline does not atomize easily, requiring more gasoline for combustion, which increases fuel consumption. Additionally, the engine computer may control the engine to run at higher RPMs to warm up the car, further increasing fuel consumption.

What are the steps to restart the engine after stalling in Subject 3?

Steps to restart the engine after stalling in Subject 3: 1. First, shift the gear back to neutral and then start the engine; 2. Turn on the left turn signal, flash the lights, honk the horn if required in some areas, check the left and right rearview mirrors, press the clutch, and shift to first gear; 3. Look at the left rearview mirror, place the right hand on the handbrake, slightly lift it, and press the release switch; 4. Release the clutch to the semi-engaged state until the engine slightly vibrates, confirm it is safe to start, and then naturally release the handbrake completely; 5. When the vehicle shows signs of moving, fully release the clutch, turn off the turn signal and flashing lights, check the mirrors, smoothly accelerate to about 2000 RPM, press the clutch, and shift to second gear.

Do I Need Wheel Balancing and Four-Wheel Alignment After Changing Tires?

After changing tires, it is necessary to perform wheel balancing and four-wheel alignment. Here is a partial introduction about tires: 1. Wheel Balancing: For four-wheel alignment, it is mainly used when the vehicle tires exhibit deviation, while the tires themselves are not problematic. 2. Four-Wheel Alignment: It includes operations such as kingpin inclination angle, front wheel camber angle, and front wheel toe-in adjustment. Simply put, four-wheel alignment is based on situations where the tires experience edge wear during driving. If the tires themselves do not show significant wear, performing a four-wheel alignment can ensure stable straight-line driving and easy steering. This can reduce wear on steering components and front wheels during driving.
