Remove the two parts of the seat. Remove the left and right side panels of the fuel tank and the turn signal section. Press the clips and set this part aside. Unscrew the two screws near the seat on both sides of the fuel tank, pull the tank backward, then rotate it 90° and place it on the frame. At this point, the air filter housing will be fully exposed. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the filter housing cover. Once the cover is off, you can see the filter inside. Replace the new filter, then reassemble everything in the reverse order of removal.

I've been maintaining my motorcycle for years, and changing the oil filter on the Benelli 300R is quite straightforward. First, prepare a new filter, a 17mm wrench or a dedicated filter tool, fresh oil, and a drain pan. Park the bike on level ground, ensure the engine is cool to avoid burns. Unscrew the drain plug to let the old oil flow out completely, then slowly remove the old filter, being careful not to spill oil everywhere. Before installing the new filter, wipe the engine's mounting surface clean with a cloth, and hand-tighten it—no need to over-tighten with a wrench. Refill with oil to the correct level, start the engine, and let it idle for a few minutes to check for leaks or unusual noises. The whole process takes about 30 minutes. Regular changes every 5,000 kilometers can extend the engine's life. Choosing the right filter brand is also crucial; I've had good results with Mann filters or the OEM ones.

The first time I changed the oil filter myself, I was a bit flustered, but after that, it felt super easy. Prepare a new filter, wrench, and oil, and park the VOGE 300r in the garage or a safe spot. After draining the old oil, removing the old filter is a breeze, and installing the new one is quick work. Remember to lightly coat the seal with oil for lubrication before screwing it on, making it easier to remove next time. Finally, add new oil, start the engine to check its operation, and address any minor issues promptly. DIY saves a lot on repair costs, and after each change, the bike runs smoother—it feels amazing. Once it becomes a habit, just perform maintenance every six months to keep your beloved bike in top condition.

Safety First When Changing the Oil Filter. Wait until the engine is completely cool before starting. Wear gloves to protect against cuts and oil stains. Park the car on a stable, level surface, then loosen the drain plug and old filter to let the oil drain completely. Before installing the new filter, check the O-ring for integrity and hand-tighten it properly to avoid loosening. Finally, confirm there are no leaks before adding oil and starting the engine. If you're not experienced, it's safer to seek help from a professional shop. Regular maintenance can prevent minor issues from becoming major problems.
