How to Remove the Steering Wheel Airbag on a BMW 3 Series?

BMW 3 Series steering wheel airbag removal method is as follows: 1. Release the steering wheel fixing lever, which is the lever that locks the steering wheel after adjustment. 2. Pull the steering wheel to the outermost position. 3. Start from the innermost part of the steering column cover, where there is a dust cover (leather), lift the upper cover upwards and remove it. The upper cover is held by clips, so don't worry. The clips are very sturdy; use a gentle upward force, and the clips won't break. 4. After removing the upper cover, you can see that the lower cover is also fixed by clips on both sides. Release the clips and remove the lower cover. 5. After removing the cover, you can see the airbag hooks on the back of the steering wheel. Use a T20 tool to gently pry both sides, slightly pull the airbag outward, and it will come off easily. 6. Then, use a 15MM socket to directly remove the steering wheel.
