How to Remove the Fuel Line on the Fuel Pump?

First remove the seats, the middle seat on the right rear and the last row of seats. There are three pipes and one wiring harness secured with screws. Remove them in sequence and then unscrew the screws. Some fuel may leak out when removing the fuel line. Take out the fuel pump. It might be a bit stuck when removing, so do it slowly. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the base, which is the most challenging part. There is a wire socket on the pump core, and the hardest part to remove is the inner soft hose.
I always think removing fuel lines from the gasoline pump requires careful safety measures since gasoline is flammable and accidents can easily happen. First, disconnect the negative terminal of the car battery to prevent electrical sparks from causing hazards. Then, locate the gasoline pump in the engine compartment, usually connected to the fuel line fittings. Use a wrench or specialized tool to gently loosen the clip fittings—avoid pulling hard to prevent damaging the fuel lines. Ensure good ventilation during the process and wear gloves and protective clothing, as residual gasoline may leak. I've encountered cases where fittings were stuck due to aging; spraying some penetrating oil to soften them before trying again can help. After successful removal, check the fuel lines for cracks or wear—replace them if necessary rather than cutting corners. When reinstalling, ensure a tight seal and check for leaks after starting the car. Though the process is straightforward, carelessness can lead to risks. Taking extra time to ensure each step is done properly is always better than dealing with repairs caused by negligence.
