The method to remove the door panel of a Sylphy is as follows: 1. Remove the control panel with wiring harness; 2. Unscrew the screws securing the door trim panel; 3. Remove the small decorative panel on the inner door trim; 4. Pry from the edge between the door panel and inner door trim to separate them; 5. Remove the screws at the bottom of the door, use a screwdriver to pry open a gap, pull outward with your hand, then lift the door panel upward to remove it. Taking the 2021 Sylphy as an example, it belongs to the compact car category, with body dimensions of: length 4631mm, width 1760mm, height 1503mm, wheelbase 2700mm, fuel tank capacity 50L, and trunk capacity 510L.

When I previously removed the door panel of a Sylphy, I found it necessary to prepare a plastic pry bar and a Phillips screwdriver. First, inspect the door handle area—there's a hidden screw inside the small storage compartment that needs to be removed with the screwdriver. Under the door handle cover, there are also clips; gently pry the edges with the pry bar to release them. Then, work along the lower edge of the door panel, prying open each clip one by one until you hear a click, indicating it's released. Once all clips are loosened, support the door panel with both hands and lift it upward to disengage the top hooks. At this point, be especially careful with the wiring harness inside—avoid pulling forcefully. Locate the window switch connector, press the clip, and then unplug it. Finally, use a socket wrench to remove the securing screw at the bottom of the door panel to completely detach it. Throughout the process, handle everything gently, as the clips are prone to breaking. It's advisable to keep a few new clips on hand for replacement.

Here are some tips I summarized when replacing the speakers on my own Sylphy door panel. Just prepare plastic pry tools and a screwdriver. First, remove the two screws at the door handle area, then pry off the decorative cover of the door handle. Next, start prying from the bottom corner of the door panel, working your way around the edges to release about a dozen plastic clips. Once all clips are released, only the top hooks remain. Gently lift the door panel upward to disengage the hooks. This is when it's easiest to overlook the wiring inside the door panel—carefully unplug the window control wires and light wires. After removing the door panel, you can also clean the dust from the tracks. When reinstalling, remember to align the top hooks first before snapping the clips back into place.

Once I wanted to clean the window tracks, so I removed the door panel. First, locate the hidden screws in the door armrest and unscrew them with a small screwdriver. Then, deal with the door handle cover—you can pry open the gap with your fingernail. Next, use a bank card to slowly pry along the edge of the door panel, stopping when you hear the clip sound. When you reach the bottom, support and lift it upward. At this point, you can see the wiring for the window switch—unplug it to remove the door panel. Be careful throughout the process to avoid scratching the interior, and wrapping tools with cloth is safer.

As someone who frequently disassembles cars, I must remind you that the clips on the Sylphy's door panel are quite fragile. It's best to use a wide-headed plastic pry tool. Start by removing the door handle trim panel, as there's a Phillips screw underneath. After unscrewing it, begin prying the clips from the bottom of the door panel and work your way up along the door frame. When you've removed about two-thirds of the clips, remember to support the door panel with your left hand while unplugging the wiring harness connector with your right hand. The key point is to maintain an angled position of the door panel during removal to avoid breaking the clips. When reinstalling, align the clips with their respective holes; you should feel a noticeable rebound when pressing with your palm to confirm they're secured. If possible, take photos to document the screw positions before disassembly.

I once disassembled the door panel of my wife's Sylphy to fix a rattling noise. First, prepare plastic pry tools and a screwdriver set, then locate and remove the two screws inside the door handle recess. Next, pop open the door handle cover—it can be pried off with your fingernails. Insert the pry tool at the bottom corner of the panel and gently release the clips, applying even horizontal force to avoid breakage. Once all clips are loose, support the panel from below and lift upward to detach the top hooks. Tilt your head to clearly see the wiring harness connectors inside—press the release tab before unplugging. Wear cotton gloves to prevent scratches during the process. Finally, reinstall and test the window operation.
