Method to open the hood of the Lavida: The hood release switch of this car is located inside the vehicle and needs to be manually opened. The switch is positioned around the foot pedal area. The engine operates in a high-temperature, high-pressure, and flammable environment, where accidents such as explosions, combustion, or leaks may occur due to overheating or unexpected damage to original components. The hood can effectively block damage caused by explosions and serves as a protective cover. The Lavida's body dimensions are 4600mm in length, 1700mm in width, and 1500mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2610mm. The Lavida's onboard navigation system combines touchscreen and knob control operation methods, featuring MP3 playback capability, along with USB, AUX, and SD card expansion slots for easy and powerful functionality. The LCD screen adopts a foldable design.

I've been driving my Lavida for several years and would like to share my experience with opening the hood. On the driver's side, I can bend down and see a small lever in the footwell area—pulling it releases the hood. Then I get out and walk to the front of the car, where there's usually a yellow safety latch in the middle or at the bottom. A simple push or press with my hand releases it, allowing me to lift the hood. Safety first: always make sure the engine has cooled for at least five minutes to avoid burns from hot components. I also take the opportunity to check the engine condition, like coolant levels and whether battery terminals are loose. Doing these checks regularly can prevent breakdowns. If the safety latch gets stuck, don't force it—try gently wiggling it or spraying some WD-40 lubricant. For new cars, the user manual is a must-read helper.

Where is the fan control module located in the old Jetta?

The fan control module in the old Jetta is located on the fan itself. Additional information: 1. How the electric fan works: The electric fan operates based on a thermostat. When the coolant temperature rises to the upper limit, the thermostat activates the power supply, causing the fan to start working. Once the temperature drops to the lower limit, the thermostat cuts off the power, and the fan stops. 2. Reasons for electric fan failure: Poor motor lubrication can prevent the fan from rotating, as inadequate lubrication hinders the motor's ability to drive the fan; motor overheating can reduce its load-bearing capacity and effective power output, making it unable to drive the load; a decrease in the starting capacitor's capacity reduces the motor's starting torque, preventing it from driving the load; prolonged motor usage can also lead to failure.

What steering gear is used in sedans?

There are three types of steering gears used in automobiles: rack and pinion, worm and roller, and recirculating ball. The automobile steering gear can amplify the force transmitted from the steering wheel to the steering linkage and change the direction of force transmission. Rack and Pinion Steering Gear: It is the most common type of steering gear. Its basic structure consists of a pair of meshing pinion and rack. When the steering shaft drives the pinion to rotate, the rack moves in a straight line. Sometimes, the rack directly drives the tie rod to steer the wheels. Recirculating Ball Steering Gear: The recirculating ball power steering system mainly consists of two parts: mechanical and hydraulic. The advantages of this steering gear are easy operation, low wear, and long service life. Worm and Roller Steering Gear: This steering gear uses a worm as the driving part and a roller as the driven part. The worm has a trapezoidal thread, and the finger-like tapered pin is supported by bearings on the roller. The roller and the steering rocker arm shaft are integrated. During steering, the worm is rotated by the steering wheel, and the tapered pin embedded in the worm's spiral groove rotates on its own while moving in an arc around the steering rocker arm shaft, driving the roller and the steering pitman arm to swing, which then turns the wheels through the steering linkage.
