How to Open the Fuel Tank on a Chevrolet Cruze?

To open the fuel tank cap, first turn off the vehicle, then press the back of the fuel tank cap, which is the side facing the rear of the car, with a gentle push. The most common method to open the fuel tank door is more convenient compared to using a key. The in-car switch varies in position across different models, but it is always marked with a fuel pump icon. The push-button method to open the fuel tank door is currently the most convenient one.
I've been driving my Cruze for two years now, and opening the fuel tank is actually quite simple. After getting in the car, don't start the engine. First, sit in the driver's seat and look above your left knee. On the door side of the dashboard, there's a small button with a fuel pump symbol. Press it gently, and you'll hear a 'click' unlocking sound from the rear. Then you can get out and go to the back of the car—the fuel tank cap is on the right rear side of the body. Just press the textured edge of the metal cover to pop it open. Make sure you hear the unlocking sound before pressing. Once, I was in a hurry and pressed the fuel cap without any response, only to realize the car door wasn't closed properly, so the whole car had no power. If the button doesn't move in summer, it might be due to accidental activation of the child lock, so you'll need to check the settings in the central control.
