How to Open a Magotan Key?

Generally, you can use a flat-head screwdriver or the mechanical key to open it. The Magotan uses a smart key, which contains a hidden mechanical key inside. After removing the mechanical key, gently wiggle it along the internal gap to open the key.
Opening the Magotan key fob isn't actually difficult. As a hands-on car owner who enjoys DIY, here's how I usually do it: There's typically a thin seam on the back of the key fob. Gently pry it open using a small plastic tool or your fingernail to separate the casing. Avoid metal tools to prevent scratching the plastic or hurting your fingers. After opening, remove the old CR2032 battery – remember this model number to avoid buying the wrong one – and insert the new battery with the positive side facing up into the slot, ensuring proper alignment before pressing it firmly in place. Finally, snap the casing back together until you hear a click. Test the remote lock/unlock buttons immediately after replacement to ensure responsive and normal operation. If the casing becomes stiff and hard to open after prolonged use, don't force it – searching for online tutorial videos is the safest approach. Generally, replace the battery every two years to prevent emergency power failures, and take the opportunity to clean dust from the key fob's crevices. This simple DIY task saves time and money while helping you become more familiar with your car's details – a win-win situation! Sharing my experience in hopes of making your task easier.
