A couple of days ago when I was driving my wife's car, I also encountered this circle-with-slash symbol. At first I thought it was a malfunction indicator! Then I realized it just meant the auto start-stop was deactivated. Check around your steering wheel or center console - there must be a small button with an 'A' on it. Last time I accidentally pressed it while moving my coffee cup. Just press it again to reactivate, and the indicator light will disappear naturally. But be aware: during cold winter starts when battery temperature is too low, or when summer AC cooling is too intense, the system will automatically disable start-stop function. Don't worry in these cases - after driving for about ten minutes when conditions meet requirements, the symbol will vanish by itself.
