First, you should prepare a bottle of dishwashing liquid. Dishwashing liquid is very suitable for cleaning car windows. Just mix some dishwashing liquid with water. Another method is to use soapy water to clean the windshield. Soapy water is very effective for cleaning glass. Use thinner to wet a cloth and wipe the glass surface with the cloth.

The key to cleaning the inside of a car's windshield is to first gently sweep away dust with a microfiber cloth, then spray some glass cleaner or a vinegar-water solution (one part vinegar to ten parts water), and carefully wipe from the center outward to avoid leaving water streaks. The inside often gets dirty due to dust blown from the air vents and grease from touching, so it's best to avoid using paper towels as they leave lint and make the glass blurrier. After cleaning, I use a hairdryer on the cool setting to dry it thoroughly, ensuring no residue is left, which keeps the view clear while driving—safety first. Remember to clean on sunny days, as it’s harder to wipe in winter when fogging is more likely.

I recommend first using a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the corners of the windshield interior to avoid scratches. Then spray dedicated automotive glass cleaner onto a microfiber cloth and gently scrub in circular motions without applying excessive force to prevent damaging the anti-reflective coating. Interior stains mainly come from fingerprints or contact from front-seat passengers, so I suggest regularly cleaning the cabin air filter to reduce dust sources. After wiping, polish with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn residues, you can try wiping with a baking soda solution, but avoid alcohol-based products as they can corrode the surface. For daily parking, choose a ventilated spot to prevent moisture and mold.

I'm used to wiping the inside of the windshield with old newspaper dipped in diluted soapy water, moving from the top to the bottom of the window. This method is both economical and effective. The dirt is mostly caused by condensed breath moisture or attached cigarette ash. After wiping, turn on the heater to dry it and prevent fogging. Usually, avoid eating in the car to prevent grease and dirt buildup.

I opt for a glass cleaner with a spray head from the supermarket, paired with a squeegee that has a handle. I first spray the interior to wet it and then scrape off the stains, which is quick and leaves no marks. Interior contamination is often caused by poor air quality inside the car or pet hair, so I frequently use the external air circulation to ventilate and prevent it. After cleaning, I check the light transmission and apply an anti-fingerprint spray to prolong the cleanliness.

For safety reasons, I always start by using a soft-bristled brush to loosen stubborn dust spots on the inner side, then patiently wipe slowly with a glass cleaning cloth, especially not missing the edges. Dirt accumulation is mostly due to daily neglect, so it's recommended to clean once a month along with air conditioning cleaning. After wiping, test the clarity of vision to avoid nighttime driving risks. A clear view while driving can prevent accidents.
