How to Charge a Chaowei Battery for the First Time?

For the first charge of a new battery, the charging time should be extended by 1-2 hours after the charger indicator light turns off. In summer, the supplementary charging time can be appropriately shortened, and prolonged charging after the light turns off should be avoided. The optimal time to charge is when the battery level drops to around 70%. In summer, after the charger light turns green, a float charge of 1~2 hours is sufficient. In winter, the float charge time can be extended by about 2 hours after the light turns green. For extremely cold regions in the north, it is advisable to bring the battery indoors for charging. Note: When the battery is completely drained (100% discharged), using a compatible charger typically requires 8~10 hours for a full charge, but it should not exceed 12 hours (as it may affect battery lifespan). It is best not to fully deplete the battery with each use; charging at around 70% battery level is recommended, with a charging time of 6~8 hours. Additional Notes: Precautions for Battery Usage: 1. Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging. If the battery is in a low-power state, it can damage the battery lifespan. Typically, charging when the battery level drops to half is sufficient. 2. Avoid overloading and speeding. During overload or speeding, the battery discharges at high current, which can harm the battery plates and reduce its lifespan. 3. If the battery is not used for an extended period, it should be fully charged and topped up every half month. Before reuse, ensure the battery is fully charged. 4. After approximately 6 months of use, it is recommended to have the battery capacity tested at an authorized dealer. If the capacity is below 60% or the battery is damaged, replacement may be necessary.
