The method to adjust the rearview mirror of the Tiida: There is a button below the left side of the driver's dashboard for adjustment. The electric adjustment of the rearview mirror means that the exterior rearview mirrors on both sides can be adjusted by the driver inside the car using electric buttons without having to step out. The Tiida is a compact car with body dimensions of 4393mm in length, 1766mm in width, and 1539mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2700mm. The Tiida features front-wheel drive, with a front suspension type of MacPherson independent suspension with a high-rigidity stabilizer bar, a rear suspension type of torsion beam non-independent suspension with a high-rigidity stabilizer bar, and a body structure of unibody.

I've been driving my Tiida for two years now, and adjusting the mirrors is actually quite simple. Sit in the driver's seat and first locate the small knob or button on the inner side of the door, usually positioned at the lower left or upper right of the door handle. Press and hold it to select either the left or right mirror. Then use that switch to move the mirror up, down, left, or right until the view just covers the road behind you—don't set it too high where it points at the sky or too low where you can't see the rear of the car. Personally, I prefer adjusting the left mirror first; it should cover part of the rear wheel to avoid blind spots. The right mirror is similar, but don't angle it toward the car body. Always adjust while parked—safety first—never do it while driving! In bad weather, wipe the mirrors to ensure clarity. Once you've memorized the standard angles, check them every weekend. Making it a habit can make driving much safer.

As a seasoned driver with years of experience, the key to adjusting the Tiida's rearview mirrors lies in the details. The control panel on the door has a selector switch—first choose the left or right mirror, then adjust the viewing angle with the lever. I always start by adjusting the driver's side mirror to just reveal a corner of the rear door handle as a reference; the passenger side is slightly tilted to reduce blind spots. After adjustment, sit upright and check to ensure you can scan the rear vehicle without turning your head. For safety, avoid adjusting at night or in the rain, as poor lighting can lead to mistakes. I also make sure to regularly clean the mirror surfaces, as accumulated rainwater can impair visibility, and check the wiring harness to prevent poor contact. Adjusting rearview mirrors is a fundamental skill—just a few minutes can prevent accidents.

What are the effects of prolonged exposure to sunlight on a car?

Prolonged exposure to sunlight can have several negative effects on a car: 1. Accelerates the aging of interior materials. Car interiors are typically made of plastic, which can deform and produce unusual noises when exposed to prolonged sunlight. 2. Affects the vehicle's sealing performance. Many parts of a car are made of rubber, which can deteriorate under prolonged sunlight, reducing their sealing effectiveness. 3. Generates harmful gases. When exposed to high temperatures, car interiors can release harmful gases such as formaldehyde. Inhaling excessive amounts of formaldehyde can be hazardous to human health and affect overall well-being.

Does Replacing the Windshield Count as an Accident Vehicle?

Whether replacing the windshield counts as an accident vehicle depends on the cause of the replacement—whether it was due to an accident or an unexpected incident. If the windshield was replaced due to damage caused by a collision, then the vehicle is considered an accident vehicle. However, if the replacement was due to an unforeseen and unavoidable event, such as a flying stone breaking the glass, then it does not qualify as an accident vehicle. A major taboo when replacing a car's windshield is improper installation. If the windshield is not installed correctly, it may affect the seal of the windshield. Violating this taboo with improper installation can lead to poor adhesion between the adhesive and the glass, resulting in a weak seal, air leaks, noise, and other potential hazards.

What does the yellow dashed line on the road mean?

Yellow dashed lines are also used to separate lanes of traffic moving in opposite directions, typically marked on narrower road surfaces. Whether it's a single or double yellow line, as long as it's dashed, vehicles are permitted to cross the line for overtaking or making a U-turn, provided it is done safely. Single solid yellow line: Used on roads with fewer central lanes, a single solid yellow line strictly prohibits vehicles from crossing. Therefore, driving on the line, overtaking, or making a U-turn is not allowed. When a yellow solid line is marked on the roadside or curb, it indicates that parking—whether long-term or temporary—is prohibited. Yellow dashed and solid line: Often found near ramps, bridges, or where lanes merge into the main road, this marking allows vehicles on the dashed side to temporarily cross the line for overtaking or turning, while vehicles on the solid side must not cross the line, as doing so would be a traffic violation. Double solid yellow lines: These lines separate lanes of opposite-direction traffic and are usually painted in the center of the road. Double solid yellow lines strictly prohibit vehicles from crossing, meaning driving on the line, overtaking, or making a U-turn is not permitted. Yellow grid lines: These indicate no-stopping zones. The grid-like yellow markings designate areas where parking is prohibited for any reason. Such markings commonly appear near schools, institutions, residential areas, fire lanes, and intersections—places where temporary parking could easily cause congestion—reminding drivers not to stop under any circumstances.

What does it mean when the EPS light on the car is on?

When the EPS light on the car is on, it indicates a chassis braking technology developed on the basis of the anti-lock braking system (ABS). It mainly consists of a control unit, steering sensor, wheel speed sensor, slip angle sensor, lateral acceleration sensor, and other components. EPS enables automatic vehicle safety control, effectively improving driving stability and safety under dynamic conditions such as braking, acceleration, and steering. The EPS system includes various sensors that comprehensively detect the vehicle's driving state, as well as an intelligent onboard microcomputer control system for analyzing and processing signals from these sensors. The sensors used in the EPS system include the yaw rate sensor, lateral acceleration sensor, steering wheel angle sensor, brake pressure sensor, and throttle position sensor, all of which are essential components of the system.
