How to Adjust the Headrest Height of Mercedes-Benz C200?

When the headrest is at the lowest position, you can directly lift it upwards to achieve the second height adjustment without pressing the adjustment button. When the headrest is at the highest position, you can directly press it downwards to achieve the first height adjustment without pressing the adjustment button. To adjust the angle of the front seat headrest, gently pull the headrest downwards. The groove on the headrest support rod will lock onto the adjustment button, and then you can release the adjustment button. The softest part of the headrest is in the middle. If the headrest is too high, the back of the head will only touch the lower edge of the headrest, and the cushioning effect of the headrest will not be utilized.
A few days ago, I tried adjusting the headrest height in my Mercedes-Benz C200, and it was actually quite simple. There are small buttons on both sides at the top of the seatback, usually made of plastic. You just press and hold them to slide the headrest up or down. Once adjusted to the right height, release the button to lock it automatically. I think this design is meant to accommodate different heights, especially for someone like me who often drives long distances—raising it higher provides better neck support and reduces fatigue. Remember to do this when parked; don’t adjust while driving—it’s dangerous. The Mercedes headrest is quite thoughtful, with a bit of elasticity, making it more comfortable and safer once adjusted, helping prevent neck injuries in case of a rear-end collision. During every maintenance check, I also inspect it for looseness since these small details affect driving comfort. In short, just press and pull—try adjusting it to where your eyes naturally look straight ahead, and you’ll feel much more relaxed while driving.
