The Luxgen Master CEO is a business vehicle under the Luxgen brand, with body dimensions of 4845mm in length, 1876mm in width, and 1768mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2910mm. In terms of exterior design, the Luxgen Master CEO has undergone some adjustments to its front face, featuring a single chrome trim strip paired with a large-sized brand logo, and multiple chrome trim strips below the front bumper. The front suspension of the Luxgen Master CEO uses MacPherson independent suspension, while the rear suspension employs a torsion beam non-independent suspension.

















I test drove the Luxgen Master last time. This car is equipped with a 2.2T turbocharged engine with a maximum horsepower of 201. It drives very steadily in daily use, with smooth acceleration, making it particularly suitable for business occasions. Overtaking in the city is effortless, and it maintains a cruising speed of around 2000 rpm on the highway. The fuel consumption isn't particularly economical, averaging about 11L per 100 km, but that's normal considering the vehicle's size. The rear seats are exceptionally quiet, with virtually no noticeable turbo lag, and the gear shifts are smooth. Overall, the power is quite balanced for a seven-seater MPV.

Recently evaluated the Luxgen Master for our company fleet. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.2T engine producing 201 horsepower. Compared to the Toyota Alphard in the same price range, it has slightly weaker explosive power but offers better smoothness. The engine delivers strongest acceleration in the mid-range, with noticeable push-back sensation at 3,000 rpm. It handles fully-loaded hill climbs effortlessly, though turbo response is slightly delayed during cold starts. Maintenance intervals are every 7,500 kilometers, with service costs 30% cheaper than German cars, and wear parts like spark plugs are readily available.

I've disassembled the 2.2T engine in the Luxgen Master three times – it's quite cleverly tuned. With 201 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque peaking at just 1,750 rpm, it makes urban stop-and-go driving exceptionally effortless. The optimized intake manifold prevents sudden lurching when the turbo kicks in. The downside is noticeable high-RPM noise, particularly above 4,000 rpm where engine compartment sound becomes pronounced. Regular throttle body cleaning is recommended as carbon buildup often triggers warning lights. While manufacturer recommends 95-octane fuel, real-world tests show 92-octane works but causes about 5% power reduction.

A car owner friend has been driving a Luxgen Master for eight years, and that 201-horsepower 2.2T engine is indeed durable. He said the biggest advantage is the ample low-end torque, which makes it rare to get cut off at traffic lights. On long trips, a full tank can last for 750 kilometers, saving 15% more fuel than the older model. The only downside of the powertrain is the conservative transmission learning program, which isn’t aggressive enough in downshifting during spirited driving. After upgrading to reinforced ignition coils, the throttle response improved by about 0.3 seconds. Now, it can be picked up in the used car market for just 30,000 yuan, with maintenance costs under 500 yuan per month.

Last month, three Luxgen Master vehicles were serviced, all equipped with a 201-horsepower engine. This powertrain has a distinctive feature: the coolant temperature rises quickly, providing usable cabin heat within two minutes of a cold start. The torque plateau is exceptionally broad, delivering 90% of peak torque between 2,000 to 4,500 rpm. Compared to factory specifications, these decade-old units show approximately 12% power degradation, primarily in the high-RPM range. A practical tip: when climbing in Sport mode, manually locking in second gear reduces transmission hunting. Engine mounts require replacement every 80,000 kilometers to prevent vibration transmission into the cabin.
