How Many Years Until a Car Requires Biannual Inspections?

Private passenger vehicles require biannual inspections after 15 years. I. For small and mini non-commercial passenger vehicles (i.e., private cars): • Inspections every 2 years for vehicles under 6 years old; • Annual inspections for vehicles over 6 years old; • Biannual inspections for vehicles over 15 years old, with emissions testing conducted during the annual inspection period. For new vehicles, the inspection validity period is annotated for 2 years corresponding to the month of initial registration. II. Required documents for annual vehicle inspection: 1. The vehicle itself; 2. Complete vehicle license (original and duplicate copies); 3. Valid 1-year third-party liability insurance policy (original). For installment purchases without the original policy, provide a copy (with insurer's stamp), insurance card, and explanation; 4. Identity document and its copy (both required). Trim the photocopy neatly along edges. For company vehicles, the agent's ID is required.
