Cars can generally be classified into six categories by purpose: 1. Passenger cars: Also known as sedans, typically with no more than nine seats (including the driver's seat). 2. Buses: Vehicles with nine or more seats (including the driver's seat), including city buses, long-distance coaches, and tourist buses. 3. Trucks: Commonly referred to as lorries, mainly used for transporting goods. 4. Tractors: Specifically designed for towing trailers or semi-trailers. 5. Special-purpose transport vehicles: Designed for transporting goods with special requirements, equipped with dedicated compartments and corresponding auxiliary equipment, such as dump trucks, tankers, refrigerated trucks, bulk cement trucks, and container trucks. 6. Special vehicles: Primarily used for performing other tasks, such as ambulances, fire trucks, garbage trucks, sprinkler trucks, and various engineering vehicles.

I did some research on this when I was changing cars. For everyday commuting, sedans and SUVs are the most common choices. Sedans are comfortable and fuel-efficient, while SUVs offer better visibility and cargo space. MPVs have become quite popular among families, especially those with two kids, as they can easily accommodate a whole family and their luggage. Pickup trucks are extremely popular abroad, and some areas in China have lifted restrictions on them. They're great for hauling cargo and off-roading, making them a favorite among construction site owners. Hardcore off-road vehicles like the Wrangler are specifically designed for rough terrain and deserts. Box trucks, which logistics companies use daily, are another major category, with delivery vans being a typical example. Oh, and there are special-purpose vehicles like taxis, all equipped with meters. When buying a car, it's most practical to consider what you'll use it for in your daily life.

I've been in the transportation business for ten years, driving everything from mini vans to semi-trailers. Passenger vehicles mainly carry people, categorized into sedans, SUVs, and MPVs, with station wagons becoming more common recently. Commercial vehicles are divided into passenger and freight types: buses include public buses, coaches, and school buses; trucks range from mini trucks to heavy-duty trucks by tonnage, with refrigerated trucks and tankers classified as special freight vehicles. Construction machinery like concrete mixers and cranes also fall under the broad category of vehicles. Special-purpose vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances have more specialized uses. For hauling goods, payload capacity is key, while for carrying people, seating capacity matters. Truck drivers often say choosing a vehicle is like choosing a wife—you have to match the vehicle to the job.

Family Car Selection Tips for Parents with Kids: Our seven-seater MPV can fit two child safety seats plus a stroller, and the elderly don't feel cramped in the third row. My husband's urban SUV handles puddles effortlessly when picking up kids. A friend's station wagon accommodates both strollers and camping gear in the trunk. Being late for school runs is the worst – I've seen customized school buses with GPS tracking. Even the delivery guy's electric trike at the parcel station is regulated as a motor vehicle. Grocery-getters are the most economical, saving gas money for children's extracurricular classes. When buying a car, don't just focus on looks – child seat anchors are essential for outings with kids.

Once during a self-drive trip, I encountered a landslide and luckily the off-road vehicle was tough enough to get us out of trouble. Generally, cars are categorized as follows: family sedans like the Civic are everywhere on the streets; urban SUVs like the Haval H6 are the most popular; business MPVs like the GL8 are great for impressing clients; and compact vehicles like the Wuling Hongguang can both carry passengers and haul goods. Specialized vehicles are used in specific fields: refrigerated trucks transport fresh produce, tow trucks haul accident vehicles, and RVs are perfect for road trips. In engineering, dump trucks and concrete pump trucks are massive. In the modification scene, off-road vehicles are divided into overlanding types and rock-crawling types—the gear needed for mudding and rock climbing is completely different.

Our company's reception vehicles are divided into three tiers: short-distance trips use the GL8 business van, providing spacious seating for clients; long-distance trips are arranged with luxury sedans featuring massage functions in the seats; team-building activities utilize the Coaster minibus equipped with an onboard refrigerator. The freight department primarily uses box trucks and light trucks, with refrigerated trucks separately allocated for fresh cold-chain logistics. Recently, a new policy has been promoted, leading to the procurement of new energy logistics vehicles. The security team is equipped with patrol vehicles featuring police lights. There are significant functional differences among vehicles for different purposes: reception vehicles prioritize comfort, trucks focus on loading capacity, and special-purpose vehicles must comply with national standard specifications. Vehicle selection must be based on specific usage requirements and equipment configuration.

How to Tow a Four-Wheel Drive Vehicle?

For manual transmission two-wheel drive vehicles, when in neutral gear, the transmission gears are not engaged, so all three methods can be used. Simply put the vehicle in neutral and release the handbrake. Use a tow truck with a lift or a flatbed tow truck. When using a tow truck with a lift, remember to lift the drive wheels—lift the front for front-wheel drive and the rear for rear-wheel drive. For full-time four-wheel drive vehicles, all four wheels are drive wheels. No matter which set of wheels is lifted, the other set will roll, potentially causing damage to the transmission.

How to Choose Motorcycle Oil?

Consumers can simply follow the oil grade specified in the manual for replacement. In practical selection, one should not blindly pursue high-grade oil. According to the standards set by the American Petroleum Institute, SA is the lowest quality oil with no additives, and the quality improves as the grade increases. Mineral oil is entirely based on oil refined from petroleum. Since the performance of mineral base oil is not sufficient, it requires the addition of certain additives.

How to Complete Vehicle Ownership Transfer Procedures?

Vehicle ownership transfer procedures are as follows: 1. Obtain the used vehicle sales contract at the service window and fill it out; 2. Drive the vehicle directly to the inspection area for verification, photography, VIN tracing, and license plate removal, then complete the inspection record form; 3. Take a queue number, wait for your turn, and after staff confirms no traffic violations exist, proceed with the transfer formalities. Vehicle transfer not only helps avoid purchasing smuggled or stolen cars but also clearly defines responsibility allocation between buyer/seller regarding the vehicle and confirms ownership change, safeguarding both parties' legal rights. This effectively prevents unnecessary debt disputes, economic conflicts, and traffic violations.
