The grounding wire must be reliable, securely connected with a 4-square-millimeter yellow-green wire. Choose a 304 stainless steel bracket for the charging pile, with an installation height of 1.2 to 1.5 meters for optimal accessibility outdoors. All pipelines should be routed through cable trays or PVC pipes, with rounded corners at bends. Finally, before energizing, use a multimeter to test the voltage at each node.

The state has now established clear regulations for home charging piles. Car owners can apply for a dedicated electricity meter for free by presenting their ID card and parking space certificate. Property cannot unreasonably obstruct the application but has the right to request proof of the installation company's qualifications. Subsidy policies vary by region; in Hangzhou, there is a subsidy of 600 yuan per pile for installation fees. If the distance between the electricity meter and the parking space exceeds 30 meters, the cost of line materials must be borne by the owner. It is recommended to use the State Grid's 'Online State Grid' APP for processing, which is twice as fast as offline applications. Note that some cities require charging piles to be registered on the Qichacha platform. After completion, a change in the electricity contract must be processed to benefit from peak and off-peak electricity rates. Remember to keep the inspection report and warranty card provided by the contractor, as the whole machine is usually under warranty for three years.

Recently helped a neighbor oversee the installation of a charging pile, and safety issues require special attention.
