The rear seat vibration issue of Song Plus DM-i has not been resolved. Additional information is as follows: Advantages: Green license plate, exempt from purchase tax, no license plate restrictions, hybrid fuel and electric use, and DC fast charging (the only one in the world). Low fuel consumption and low electricity consumption (low energy consumption) result in lower charging costs. No transmission, smooth acceleration, and no jerky feeling when switching between the motor and engine. The vehicle starts silently. The exterior is attractive, and the interior materials are solid. The rear seat space is spacious. Disadvantages: Poor rear seat sound insulation; the trunk depth is not large enough; no spare tire (a common issue with new energy vehicles, except for the Yuan EV rear-mounted version); wireless charging issues: slow charging, overheating, and the charging area is not visible when the phone is placed inside (the phone's automatic brightness will be very dim), etc.

Regarding rear seat vibrations in the BYD Song Plus DM-i, based on my own experience and discussions with fellow owners, the issue appears to have been optimized. Early models purchased last year commonly exhibited slight vibrations in the rear seats when the engine started, attributed to factors such as imperfect hybrid system transition logic or insufficient suspension tuning. Subsequently, the manufacturer addressed this through OTA software updates and service campaigns, including adjustments to engine control strategies, which reduced vibration frequency. Owners of post-2023 models report significantly improved conditions, and dealerships can now provide hardware inspections such as engine mount replacements if needed. If vibrations persist, it's advisable to seek professional diagnostics promptly. Additionally, discussing hybrid vehicle maintenance essentials—like regular tire pressure checks, brake system inspections, and avoiding forceful engine starts at low battery levels—can enhance overall ride comfort.

From a technical perspective, the rear-seat vibration in the Song Plus DM-i primarily stems from its plug-in hybrid design: vibrations generated during power module transitions are transmitted to the cabin. Early issues frequently occurred during engine startup or high-speed driving, potentially linked to insufficient suspension damping or inadequate software calibration. BYD responded swiftly, optimizing suspension damping and electronic control logic in subsequent batches, with significant improvements observed after OTA updates. Additionally, checking wheel balance and tire wear is crucial, as these factors collectively impact driving smoothness. Most minor issues can be resolved through simple diagnostics, and well-maintained new vehicles rarely exhibit this problem.

The manufacturer has been proactive in addressing the vibration issue. BYD has incorporated improvements into subsequent vehicle designs based on user feedback, with post-2022 production versions already implementing these enhancements. Software updates have also helped alleviate vibrations. Many owners in the community have confirmed the smoothness of newer models, while older versions can schedule free system refreshes at 4S stores. The issue is now largely under control and does not affect daily usage.

Rear seat vibrations not only affect comfort but may also indicate underlying issues. I recommend owners first check if tire pressures are consistent and maintained at recommended values, and not to overlook the condition of engine mounts during hybrid system maintenance. If experiencing vibrations in a Song Plus DM-i, promptly contact after-sales service for diagnosis; routinely avoid frequent low-battery driving to reduce system load. BYD's service is quite reliable, with many similar issues resolved in a single adjustment, and they can also share tips for extending vehicle lifespan.

Overall, the vibration issue has been well addressed. The new car has optimized the driving and riding quality, and most recent model owners I've met praise its smoothness. In the future, DM-i technology will become more intelligent to minimize such discomforts, and experienced owners sharing solutions on forums is also highly effective. Considering the development trend of hybrid vehicles, staying updated with manufacturer announcements can help prevent minor fluctuations in advance.

How Many Liters of Fuel Should Be Added to a Car?

Generally, a car's fuel tank should be filled to about 80% capacity. Here are some precautions to consider when refueling: Choose to refuel when the temperature is relatively low. If the car is not used for a long time or used infrequently, maintain a small amount of fuel. Do not refuel when a tanker truck is unloading fuel. Turn off the engine when refueling a gasoline-powered car. Different grades of gasoline should not be mixed. The components of a fuel tank include: fuel tank cap, baffle, fuel gauge sensor, fuel inlet and return pipes, fuel filler neck, and vent. Below are the functions of the fuel tank cap: Records the car model and the type of fuel used. Displays the standard tire pressure range and precautions.

Does Shutting Off the Engine in Neutral Cause Damage?

Whether shutting off the engine in neutral causes damage depends on the situation: 1. For automatic transmission vehicles, the engine should be turned off in P (Park) gear; shutting off in neutral can cause damage. 2. For manual transmission vehicles, shutting off in neutral does not cause damage. The hazards of shutting off an automatic transmission vehicle in neutral include: 1. Excessive carbon buildup on engine valves and pistons; 2. Accelerated engine aging. Reasons for a manual transmission vehicle stalling in neutral include: 1. Idle speed being too low; 2. Excessive carbon deposits on the throttle body, idle control valve, intake valves, intake manifold, combustion chamber, spark plugs, and fuel injectors; 3. Fuel injector leakage.

Can I shift directly to P gear after parking?

You can shift directly to P gear after parking. Relevant information is as follows: Parking method: After the car enters the parking position, step on the brake and shift to N gear, pull up the handbrake, release the foot brake and then turn off the engine, finally shift to P gear and pull out the key. Transmission: Modern transmissions have two sets of gears. One set is responsible for driving gear shifts, while the other set handles parking lock. When parking, as long as the car doesn't move, the locking gears don't engage, and the driving gears won't come into play either. Mechanically speaking, the P gear and N gear of the transmission are essentially the same gear, with the difference being that P gear adds the engagement of parking pawl and parking hook. In other words, P gear is neutral (like N gear), but with an additional parking mechanism.

What Are the Reasons for the Constant Illumination of the Handbrake Light?

The reasons for the constant illumination of the handbrake light are: 1. The handbrake is not released; 2. Brake fluid leakage or insufficient level. The working principle of the handbrake is: 1. The brake disc connected to the drive shaft transmits the pulling force back through the steel cable to achieve parking brake; 2. After pulling the handbrake, the hydraulic auxiliary cylinder is used to push the movement of the hydraulic master cylinder under the car, which then drives the air valve to act and brake the drive shaft. The functions of the handbrake are: 1. When parking, pulling up the handbrake can keep the motor vehicle stationary, preventing the car from sliding and causing traffic accidents; 2. When the motor vehicle is moving, pulling up the handbrake during a turn can create a drifting effect; 3. In emergency situations, the handbrake can be used as a brake.
