Does Parking Surveillance Damage the Battery?

Parking surveillance does not damage the battery. A dashcam that is not directly powered by the car battery will not harm the battery. The functions of the battery are: 1. Providing a strong starting current to the starter when starting the engine; 2. Assisting the generator in supplying power to electrical devices; 3. Charging the battery when the generator's terminal voltage is higher than that of the battery. Steps to replace the battery: 1. Remove the battery's securing mechanism. Some batteries may have protective casings, which need to be removed first. 2. Disconnect the battery's negative terminal first. Be careful not to disconnect the positive terminal first, as this could cause a short circuit and produce sparks if the positive terminal touches the car body, which is very dangerous. 3. Disconnect the battery's positive terminal. Generally, the positive terminal has a protective device, so take care to avoid damaging it during removal. 4. Secure the battery first, then install the positive terminal, followed by the negative terminal, which is the reverse order of removal.
