Motor vehicle damage insurance includes glass coverage. After the auto insurance reform, the vehicle damage insurance not only covers glass insurance but also includes theft insurance, water damage insurance, spontaneous combustion insurance, inability to find a third party, and no deductible additional insurance. Coverage Scope: Motor vehicle damage insurance generally covers vehicle losses caused by collisions, falls, spontaneous combustion, fires, explosions, storms, heavy rain, mudslides, landslides, etc. It also covers necessary and reasonable rescue expenses paid by the insured to prevent or reduce the loss of the insured vehicle after an insurance incident. The insurance company is responsible for claims within the coverage scope. Important Notes: Glass film is not covered; logo damage is not covered; additional equipment damage is not covered; damage during glass installation or vehicle repair is not covered.

I just handled my own auto insurance claim. After the 2020 reform, the auto damage insurance indeed covers separate glass breakage, such as when your windshield gets cracked by a stone on the highway. However, note that it must be an accident that occurs while driving; if your car is parked in the community and someone breaks it intentionally, it doesn't count. Additionally, sunroof glass is also included, but separate breakage of rearview mirrors and car light glass is not covered. Remember to choose an authorized glass repair shop when getting it fixed, and it's best to keep photos of the accident scene to facilitate the claim. The price difference for glass varies greatly among different car models. For example, replacing an original glass for my SUV cost 1,800 yuan, but fortunately, the insurance covered it.

What are the engine fault diagnosis procedures?

Engine fault diagnosis steps: Understand the time and symptoms of the fault occurrence; Use the automatic diagnosis mode of the engine management system for diagnosis; Conduct detailed inspection of the engine system and components to confirm the fault location and cause. Engine starting faults are roughly divided into the following two categories: 1. The engine cannot rotate normally. (1) Check the battery voltage. (2) Check whether the battery terminals, wire connections, etc. are loose. 2. The engine can rotate but is difficult to start. Check the starting system, including the ignition switch, start switch, neutral start switch, and starter condition, and whether the wiring connections are loose.

Is the fuel-saving device on the OBD interface useful?

obd interface fuel saver is useful. OBD stands for On-Board Diagnostics, a system that continuously monitors the engine's operating conditions and the working status of the exhaust after-treatment. Once it detects a situation that may lead to excessive emissions, it immediately issues a warning. OBD is very helpful for fuel-saving in vehicles, as detailed below: 1. The OBD device monitors multiple systems and components, including the engine, catalytic converter, emission control system, fuel system, EGR, etc. 2. OBD connects to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) through various emission-related component information. The ECU has the capability to detect and analyze faults related to emissions. When an emission fault occurs, the ECU records the fault information and related codes, and issues a warning through the malfunction indicator lamp to inform the driver. The ECU ensures access to and processing of fault information through a standard data interface.

Does starting the car with the AC on damage the vehicle?

Starting the car with the AC on does cause some damage to the vehicle, but the impact is not significant and won't break the car. However, it may lead to certain wear on the engine, potentially shortening the maintenance cycle. If the engine speed is too low, it might struggle to power the AC, and even if it does, it can cause unstable engine operation, incomplete combustion, and easier carbon buildup. The specific details are as follows: 1. Turning on the AC only activates the blower, delivering natural air. Theoretically, using the AC doesn't harm the car, but the main concern is the increased fuel consumption cost. 2. Starting the car with the AC on can be harmful to health. Without proper air circulation in the car, carbon monoxide from the engine may leak into the cabin and accumulate, increasing its concentration and potentially causing poisoning.

What does the 'service' prompt on the car mean?

service indicates that the car needs maintenance. The specific meanings are as follows: 1. Generally, car manufacturers have regulations that require maintenance within specified intervals. Common intervals are 5000, 7500, and 10000 kilometers. It is usually reasonable to follow the maintenance requirements in the manual. 2. Different cars have different instrument panels. However, common gauges in most cars include the speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, water temperature gauge, fuel gauge, and charging gauge. 3. Beneath the dashboard cover, various indicator or warning lights are installed. Examples include the coolant level warning light, fuel level indicator, washer fluid level indicator, charging indicator, and high/low beam indicator.

Can You Start a Car in Second Gear?

It is possible to start a car in second gear, but this method should not be used regularly. There are several reasons for this: 1. Prolonged use of second gear for starting can cause unnecessary damage to the car, potentially leading to engine failure within a few years. 2. Starting in second gear can be useful on slippery surfaces like ice, snow, or mud, as the lower torque reduces wheel spin and prevents the wheels from sinking deeper. Second gear is also suitable when minimal torque is needed or desired to move the car from a standstill. 3. Generally, starting in first gear is faster than in second gear. This is because the engine revs up more easily in first gear, providing better acceleration—this is the principle behind "downshifting to overtake." When starting in second gear, to avoid stalling, the clutch must be released slowly, and it takes longer for the engine to reach its optimal operating range.

How many subjects are included in the driving test?

The driving test includes four subjects. Here are the details: 1. Theory test. It mainly covers road traffic regulations and is usually conducted within 15 days after registration for learning. 2. Field test. It starts with the reverse parking test followed by the field test, usually conducted about 1 month after passing the theory test. For B2 and above driver's licenses, it takes about 40 days. 3. Road driving test. It mainly examines the practical operations of the trainee in road driving (including starting and stopping, gear shifting, handling complex road sections, etc.), usually conducted within 3 days after the field test. 4. Subject 4 is also about safety regulations.
