Yes, Lancia still makes cars, but its operations are extremely limited. Currently, the brand produces only one model, the Lancia Ypsilon, and it is sold exclusively in Italy. This is a far cry from its legendary past. Under the umbrella of the Stellantis group, Lancia is in the early stages of a ambitious, decade-long revival plan focused exclusively on premium electric vehicles for the European market.

Lancia's story is one of a dramatic fall from grace. Founded in 1906, it was once synonymous with innovation and engineering brilliance, producing iconic models like the Stratos and Delta Integrale that dominated rally racing. However, decades of underinvestment, dated models, and a shrinking market presence reduced it to a niche player. The current Ypsilon, based on an old platform shared with other Stellantis city cars, has remained on the market primarily through cosmetic updates.

The future hinges on the "10-Year Plan" announced in 2022. The strategy is to reposition Lancia as a premium, all-electric brand. The first step was a redesigned Ypsilon, which launched in early 2024 with hybrid and full-electric options. This will be followed by a new Gamma SUV in 2026 and a replacement for the Delta hatchback in 2028. The success of this plan is entirely dependent on Stellantis's commitment and the European market's reception to a reimagined Lancia.

Barely. They're basically an Italian secret now. If you walk into a dealership outside of Italy, you won't find one. They've been hanging on by a thread for years, just selling one little car, the Ypsilon. But I just read that their parent company has a big plan to bring them back with new electric cars. It's a long shot, but it would be amazing to see those classic lines on a modern EV.

As an enthusiast, it’s painful to see what happened to Lancia. They were engineering pioneers, but poor management led to a steep decline. Today, the answer is technically yes, but functionally no for most of the world. Their entire business is the Ypsilon in Italy. The new strategy under Stellantis to become a premium EV brand is their last, best hope. The upcoming electric Delta will be the true test of whether the magic can be recaptured. I'm cautiously optimistic.

From a business perspective, Lancia is a classic case of brand life-support. It's kept alive within the Stellantis portfolio, but its commercial impact is negligible. The decision to limit it to a single market minimizes losses while the parent company gauges the feasibility of a premium repositioning. The revival plan is a high-risk bet on the European EV luxury segment. Its success will depend entirely on executing a distinct brand identity and superior product against established competitors.

Think of it like a hibernation. Lancia never officially shut down, but it stopped being a global carmaker. For the past decade, it’s been a regional brand. The new news is the Stellantis plan to wake it up. They’re starting from scratch with a clean slate of electric vehicles, aiming for a 2028 comeback with a new Delta. So, while they exist today in a very limited way, the goal is to be a meaningful manufacturer again by the end of the decade.

What does adbiue mean?

adbiue is a diesel exhaust fluid, also known as automotive environmental urea, made from water and urea. It effectively reduces the nitrogen oxide content in vehicle exhaust, thereby decreasing air pollution caused by NOx. It is a consumable essential for SCR technology, composed of 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% deionized water. adbiue is stored in a urea tank installed on the chassis, which supplies the solution to a dosing unit (DU) also mounted on the chassis. The DU, controlled by the engine control module (ECM), uses compressed air from the vehicle system to generate an adbiue spray. This spray is then delivered to the nozzle in the engine exhaust system through a highly precise metering and pumping system.

Can the Audi Q5 use 92-octane gasoline?

Audi Q5 cannot use 92-octane gasoline. The manufacturer recommends using 95-octane gasoline. High-compression engines should use high-octane gasoline. If low-octane gasoline is used in a high-compression engine, it may cause abnormal combustion, resulting in knocking, increased fuel consumption, and reduced driving power. The Audi Q5 is a mid-size SUV launched by FAW-Volkswagen Audi, with dimensions of 4629mm in length, 1898mm in width, and 1655mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2807mm. It is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 70kw and a maximum torque of 350nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

What kind of oil is generally used for Mazda CX5?

Mazda CX5 generally uses engine oil with a viscosity of 30 or 40. In extremely cold regions, 0W40 or 0W30 is recommended, while 5W40 or 5W30 is suitable for ordinary areas. The Mazda CX5 series is equipped with naturally aspirated engines without turbochargers. These engines do not run at very high temperatures, so 30 viscosity oil is completely sufficient. The Mazda CX5 is a compact SUV launched by Changan Mazda, with dimensions of 4555mm in length, 1842mm in width, and 1685mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2700mm. It is powered by 2.0L and 2.5L naturally aspirated engines, with maximum power outputs of 114kw and 144kw, and maximum torque of 200nm and 252nm, respectively. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

When is the appropriate time for the first maintenance of a new car?

It is appropriate to perform the first maintenance of a new car between 3 to 5 months or 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. When taking the car for its first maintenance, be sure to bring the first maintenance card. Maintenance items generally include: changing the engine oil, tightening chassis screws, checking tire pressure, inspecting all vehicle fluids, and checking all vehicle lights. After the first maintenance, the vehicle still requires regular maintenance. Regular maintenance involves preventive work such as inspecting, cleaning, supplying, lubricating, adjusting, or replacing certain parts of the car. The purpose is to maintain the car's appearance, ensure normal technical conditions, eliminate hidden dangers, prevent faults, slow down the deterioration process, and extend the service life.
