I looked into this for my nephew, thinking it might make the car faster. The problem is physics. The PlasmaCar is low to the ground for a reason—stability. Putting on taller rollerblade wheels would make it top-heavy and a total flip-risk on turns. The unique steering relies on the original wheel shape. From a design perspective, the PlasmaCar is a sealed unit. The manufacturer, PlaSmart, does not sell individual wheel components because they are not meant to be serviced or replaced by the user. My buddy and I, big into DIY, actually tried this. We managed to get the old wheels off, but that's where the project died. The axle stubs are just smooth, thick plastic. There's no thread, no groove, nothing to lock a bearing onto. Even with epoxy, the wheels wobbled and fell off instantly. We scrapped the whole idea. It's a cool thought, but in reality, it's a dead end. Save your time and money.
