Preparations for practicing driving in the rain: 1. Prepare tissues or a handkerchief to wipe the rearview mirrors before getting in the car. 2. Choose shoes with textured soles. When practicing driving in the rain, wear shoes with textured soles. Shake off any water from the soles before entering the car, and rub your shoes a few times on the floorboard before placing them on the clutch and brake pedals to prevent slipping. Dry your hands before placing them on the steering wheel to avoid slipping. 3. Turn on the windshield wipers.
