During the Subject Two driving test, you are not allowed to look at the gear shift while changing gears. If the examinee looks down at the gear shift or fails to engage the gear twice consecutively while the vehicle is in motion, 100 points will be deducted. Below are the relevant details: Subject Two: Subject Two is part of the motor vehicle driver's license examination. The test items for cars (C1/C2) include five mandatory components: reversing into a parking space, parallel parking, stopping and starting on a slope, turning at a right angle, and driving through curves (commonly known as S-turns). Some regions also include a sixth item: collecting a toll card on a highway. The test vehicle is equipped with sensors on the gear lever to determine the current gear, whether the gear shift was successful, the number of gear shifts, etc. If the examinee fails to engage the gear twice, the system will detect it as looking down at the gear shift on the third attempt and will announce it verbally. Test Attempts: For the Subject Two test, if the examinee fails the first attempt, they are allowed one retake. If the examinee does not take the retake or fails the retake, the test session ends, and the applicant must reschedule the test after ten days. Within the validity period of the driving skill test permit, the number of test attempts for Subject Two and Subject Three (road driving skills) cannot exceed five. If the fifth attempt is still unsuccessful, the results of other previously passed subjects will be invalidated.
