As someone who's driven both here and abroad, trust me, you don't want a left-hand drive car in India. It's just not built for our roads. Trying to pass a truck on a two-lane highway would be a nightmare—you can't see a thing coming from the other direction. Even pulling up to a chai stall or a toll booth becomes a major hassle. You'd be constantly leaning across the passenger seat. It's illegal for a reason: safety. Stick with a right-hand drive car; it’s what everyone uses for a smooth and safe drive.

I get the appeal if it's a classic car you're attached to, but honestly, it's a terrible idea. Beyond the legality, think about the constant stress. You'd be a hazard to yourself and others. Every time you need to make a turn or change lanes, you're at a disadvantage. Finding a mechanic who knows how to work on a LHD-specific part? Good luck, and it'll cost a fortune. It's just not worth the headache. Sell the car before you move and buy a proper RHD model here. You'll have a much better experience.
