Can the X-Trail use mineral oil?

The X-Trail can use mineral oil. Avoid overfilling the fuel tank: Overfilling the fuel tank can easily block the vent hole of the tank. Once the vent hole is blocked, the pressure inside the tank will be lower than normal, leading to poor fuel supply or even no fuel supply. Overfilling also increases the vehicle's weight, thereby increasing fuel consumption. Additionally, gasoline can deteriorate, posing safety hazards. Avoid waiting for the low fuel warning to refuel: While driving, always monitor the fuel gauge. When the indicator shows one-quarter of the fuel remaining, you should refuel. If the tank is left empty for too long, the temperature difference between the inside and outside can cause moisture to form inside the tank, which can corrode the tank, degrade fuel quality, and increase the engine's burden.
I've been driving my X-Trail for five years, always using mineral oil without any issues. As long as you don't frequently go on long trips or drive aggressively, mineral oil is completely sufficient. The key is to change it every 5,000 kilometers on time, and I check the dipstick every month. During the hottest part of summer when I changed the oil, I noticed it was a bit thin. Nowadays, the new oils meet SL grade or higher standards, which are much better than the old mineral oils and provide sufficient engine protection. Even in winter when temperatures drop below minus ten degrees Celsius, starting the car isn't a problem. However, if you often drive through mountains and water, spending a bit more on semi-synthetic oil would give you more peace of mind.
