Can People with Red Color Blindness Obtain a Driver's License?
1 Answers
People with red color blindness cannot obtain a driver's license. Below are some of the physical examination standards for obtaining a driver's license: Vision: For those applying for large passenger vehicles, tractors, city buses, medium-sized passenger vehicles, large trucks, trolleybuses, or tram driving licenses, the naked or corrected vision of both eyes must reach 5.0 or above on the logarithmic visual acuity chart. For those applying for other types of driving licenses, the naked or corrected vision of both eyes must reach 4.9 or above on the logarithmic visual acuity chart. Color Vision: No red-green color blindness. Individuals with color blindness cannot obtain a driver's license as they are unable to drive normally and cannot clearly see traffic signals, which can easily lead to accidents.
