Modified exhaust systems can be registered. Article 10 of the "Regulations on the Registration of Motor Vehicles" stipulates that for a registered motor vehicle under any of the following circumstances, the owner of the motor vehicle shall apply to the vehicle management office at the place of registration for modification registration: 1. Nature: A commercial motor vehicle is changed to a non-commercial motor vehicle or vice versa, or other changes in the nature of use. 2. Jurisdiction: The residence of the motor vehicle owner moves out of or into the jurisdiction of the vehicle management office. An application for modification registration can be made to the vehicle management office at the place of registration. For modifications specified in items (1), (2), and (3) of the first paragraph of this article, the motor vehicle owner shall apply to the vehicle management office for modification registration within ten days after the modification.
