Can LED headlights be used without lenses?

LED headlights can be used without lenses, but there are differences in brightness, lighting effects, and vehicle appearance between headlights with and without lenses. Lenses serve to focus the light beams. When the light shines on the road, it spreads evenly across the surface, providing optimal illumination for the vehicle. Without lenses, the light tends to scatter more, which can easily affect the vision of oncoming drivers. There are two types of lenses: single-beam and dual-beam. A single-beam lens simply means that the lens can only control one bulb, with separate high and low beams, and it only controls the low beam. A dual-beam lens, on the other hand, uses an internal shutter to control both light sources—high and low beams—allowing for seamless switching between them.
