Can Automatic Rearview Mirrors Be Adjusted Manually?

Automatic rearview mirrors have gear mechanisms and should not be adjusted manually. An automatic rearview mirror is a tool that allows the driver, while seated in the cockpit, to directly obtain information about the rear, sides, and lower areas of the vehicle. For the convenience of the driver and to prevent traffic safety accidents and ensure personal safety, regulations in various countries require that vehicles must be equipped with automatic rearview mirrors, and all such mirrors must be adjustable. The method for setting the automatic downward tilt of the rearview mirror is as follows: 1. Power on: Turn on the vehicle's power without starting the engine (press the start button without stepping on the brake); 2. Set memory gear: Set memory seats 1, 2, and 3, and select the seat gear; 3. Adjust button: Choose the side mirror you wish to set, press the mirror adjustment selection button (left or right); step on the brake, shift to R gear, press the 4-way adjustment button, adjust to the desired position, and hold the seat memory button (1, 2, or 3) for about 2 seconds; 4. Readjust selection button: Step on the brake, shift to P gear, and press the mirror adjustment selection button once more.
