Can a temporary license plate be used in another province?

Temporary license plates can be used in another province, but they must be cross-administrative district temporary license plates and must be within the validity period. A temporary license plate is a temporary vehicle travel certificate issued by the vehicle management department of the public security bureau for newly purchased vehicles before they are officially registered. The validity period generally does not exceed thirty days. Temporary license plates with blue background, black characters, and black borders are only for motor vehicles driving within the city limits. Temporary license plates with brown-yellow background, black characters, and black borders are for motor vehicles driving across cities. There are four types of temporary license plates in total: temporary license plates within administrative districts, cross-administrative district temporary license plates, temporary license plates for test vehicles, and temporary license plates for special vehicles. New cars cannot use temporary license plates for more than 15 days, and the owner should apply for an official license plate from the vehicle management authority in a timely manner.
