Can a Car's Specialized Spare Tire Be Used Long-Term?
1 Answers
The specialized spare tire of a car cannot be used long-term. Spare tires differ from regular tires in terms of parameters and wheel hub material, resulting in differences in weight and heat dissipation performance compared to normal tires, posing safety hazards with prolonged use. Due to prolonged storage, the wear level of a spare tire is not the same as that of a regular tire, making it more prone to skidding during emergency braking while driving. The purpose of a car's spare tire is to support the vehicle to drive to a repair shop in emergency situations. Once the tire is repaired, it should be promptly replaced with a normal tire. Especially for some non-full-size spare tires, they can easily cause the car to pull to one side, and long-term use can also affect the wear of normal tires.
