If your generator fails to start when the power goes out, don't panic. Here’s a troubleshooting guide to help you get your generator running. First, check the Auto/Manual button to ensure it's in the correct position for automatic operation. Next, confirm the ATS communication lead is securely plugged in. Examine the ignition key position; for diesel models, it should be in the 'OFF' position, and for petrol generators, it should be 'ON'. Verify your generator's isn't dead or low. Also, check the RUN lever is set correctly. Then, inspect the fuel supply for any issues. If the generator fails to start after three attempts, the ATS panel will display a solid RED fault light; press the Auto/Manual button once to reset it and try again. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it's best to consult a qualified engineer or contact the repair center for a professional assessment.
