Changing the abrasive wheel on your PROMED 1030 Electric file is straightforward. Here's how to do it safely and effectively: First, reduce the rotational speed of your PROMED 1030 to zero. The device has a built-in safety feature that will automatically switch off if this isn't done. Now, turn the clamping device, often labeled as 'L', to the left until you hear it click or snap into place twice. This action opens the collet, allowing you to remove the old abrasive wheel. Next, take the old wheel out and insert the new one. After you've inserted the new wheel, turn the clamping device 'L' to the right until it clicks or snaps twice. This will securely close the collet. Finally, you can start the PROMED 1030 again for operation. Remember to maintain a distance of approximately 2-3 mm between the handpiece tip and the abrasive wheel during use. For more comprehensive instructions and safety guidelines, always consult the PROMED 1030 user manual.
