Experiencing issues with your Heritage Audio HA-609A? Here's how to troubleshoot common problems.
Firstly, check the power supply by confirming the HA-PSU04 is properly connected. If the VU meters aren't illuminated, remember they only activate when the unit is engaged, not in Bypass mode. For low signal levels, use the GAIN MAKEUP control to compensate for compression. If there's no signal output, verify all cable connections. Also, ensure the GAIN MAKEUP is not set to its minimum. Check your DAW routing to confirm the signal path is correctly configured. For peak , utilize the ATTACK FAST button for quicker compressor and limiter response. To preserve transients, consider disabling the LIMITER or reducing its effect. Adjust the THRESHOLD and/or RATIO to fine-tune compression levels, and experiment with the RELEASE setting for optimal timing. For stereo signal control, use the LINK button to synchronize the left and right channels. Finally, make sure both the COMPRESS IN and LIMIT IN buttons are activated.
