Starting your Simpson Premium Pressure Washer is straightforward. Follow these steps:
- Fuel Up: Fill the fuel tank with fresh, high-quality unleaded gasoline. Ensure it has a pump octane rating of 86 or higher, and avoid overfilling.
- Check the Oil: Verify the engine oil level according to the Engine Owner's Manual instructions.
- Pump Oil Level: Inspect the pump oil level using the sight glass; it should reach the dot. Add SIMPSON Premium Pump Crankcase Oil or SAE 15W-40 oil if necessary.
- Connect Water: Attach the water hose to a water source and turn on the water supply until a steady stream flows.
- Filter Check: Confirm the filter screen is correctly placed in the pump's water inlet, with the convex side facing outward.
- Attach High-Pressure Hose: Connect the high-pressure hose to the pump outlet.
- Select Nozzle: Choose and install the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task on the spray wand.
- Open Gas Valve: Turn on the gas valve located at the bottom of the unit by pulling it out until it stops, then slowly push it back in until you hear a click.
- Prime the Engine: Pull out the choke on top of the engine and push it in until you hear a click. Repeat this process several times until you hear a loud pop sound, indicating that the engine is running at full speed.
- Start Water Flow: Squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to begin the water flow.
- Adjust Throttle: The pressure washer is now ready to use. Adjust the throttle using the throttle trigger located on top of the unit next to the choke.
