Conducting a range test is a crucial step before each flight of your E-flite Apprentice EFL370001 RC airplane. Follow these steps for a successful range test: First, ensure your throttle stick is at its lowest setting, then power on your transmitter for at least five seconds. Next, with assistance, connect the aircraft to the ESC connector while holding the plane stationary for five seconds. Now, face the model and hold the transmitter as you normally would during flight. Press and hold the bind button (Button A) while toggling the HI/LO rate switch (Switch F) up and down twice. The transmitter's RGB LED will flash, and an alarm will sound, confirming that the system is in range check mode; keep holding the bind button. With the model secured, move approximately 30 paces away. At this distance, operate the rudder, elevator, aileron, and throttle controls to verify smooth operation. If any control issues arise, do not fly the aircraft and consult the Troubleshooting Guide for solutions. For further assistance, contact Horizon Hobby Product Support. Finally, release the bind button to exit the range check mode once you've confirmed proper function.
