Setting up your Grandstream GRP260X IP with RingCentral MVP manually involves a few key steps. Before you begin, ensure the phone is unlocked by your previous provider if necessary, and perform a factory reset to clear any existing configurations.
First, add your GRP260X device to your RingCentral MVP account. Log in to the RingCentral MVP portal, go to 'Phones & Devices', click 'Add Device', and select 'Other Phone (BYOD)'. You'll need to enter the device's MAC address and assign it to a user. Review the settings and save.
Next, obtain the SIP settings needed for manual provisioning. In RingCentral MVP, find your newly added device and click 'Edit'. Then, select 'Set Up manually using SIP' to view and note down the SIP settings.
Now, access the GRP260X's web interface. Power on your phone and find its IP address. Enter this IP address into your web browser and log in using the credentials displayed on the phone's LCD. Within the phone's web interface, enter the SIP settings you obtained from RingCentral MVP and save your configuration.
Navigate to the 'Accounts > Account 1' section of the phone's settings to configure your account. Fill in the 'General Settings', including the SIP Server and SIP User ID, using the RingCentral MVP provided information. Adjust SIP Settings, Codec Settings, and Feature Codes as needed. After making your changes, save and apply the settings.
To confirm the setup, check the account registration status under 'Status > Account Status'.
Finally, for firmware updates, log in to your RingCentral MVP account, locate your device, and check for available firmware upgrades. If an upgrade is available, upload the firmware file and reboot your device. By completing these steps, you should successfully provision your Grandstream GRP260X phone for use with RingCentral MVP.
