Configuring the inputs and outputs on your NOTIFIER 2C8M NION Board is essential for your monitoring and control system. Here's how to do it, based on the installation guide:
Inputs Configuration:
- The NION board supports eight dry contact inputs, which can be configured as normally open or normally closed.
- Each normally open input is monitored with an end-of-line resistor.
- Wire the inputs to the 16-point plug-in terminal strip, following the pattern labeled on the printed circuit board (PCB).
- For each normally open input circuit, install a 10k EOL resistor in parallel with the contact.
- Select the input style (NO or NC) using jumpers JP4 through JP11, setting them to your preferred configuration.
- Each input has a pair of LEDs: a red LED indicates an alarm state (short), and a yellow LED signifies a trouble state (open).
Outputs Configuration:
- The 2C8M NION provides two SPDT relay outputs, each rated at 5A @ 30VDC.
- You can wire these relays for either normally open or normally closed operation.
- All specified load ratings are for resistive loads. For specialized applications, please consult with a NOTIFIER applications engineer.
Important Considerations:
- Keep input and output lines under 2000ft.
- To fully utilize all features, configure the 2C8M Scheduling Plug-In utility through your system workstations. Refer to your Workstation manual for detailed Plug-In setup instructions.
