Setting up and customizing your Weight Watchers WW701Y Digital Bathroom Scale is straightforward. First, remove all packaging materials. Locate and remove the isolator tab from the battery compartment, usually found at the bottom or inside the compartment itself. This activates the scale. If the display doesn't light up after removing the tab, you may need to use a screwdriver to remove the battery cover and then reinsert it. Next, tap the scale with your foot to turn it on, and the display should illuminate. On the base of the scale, select your preferred unit of measurement, pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg). Wait for the display to show "0.0" before proceeding. To personalize your user data, press the "Set" button. Use the Up/Down buttons to choose a user number from P-01 to P-4 and confirm with the "Set" button. The scale will then prompt you to set your height. Use the Up/Down buttons to adjust your height, remembering the default units are inches for lb mode and centimeters for kg mode, and press "Set." Next, set your age using the Up/Down buttons and confirm with "Set." Then, select your gender (male or female) using the Up/Down buttons and confirm with "Set." The scale will briefly display your stored data. The scale is now ready for use. Step on the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are aligned on the electrodes. The scale will display your weight, body fat percentage, body water percentage, bone mass value, and BMI. Ensure "0.0" is displayed before stepping on the scale. "Err" may appear if foot contact is improper. If needed, moisturize your feet to improve contact with the electrodes. For more detailed information, consult the instruction manual.
