Setting the Home position on your AVL E-Lift is essential for optimal weaving. Here's a step-by-step guide:

  1. Ensure the E-Lift is correctly installed, following the instructions in the user manual.
  2. Connect the foot or hand switch cord securely to the E-Lift.
  3. Plug the power cord into the E-Lift and a power outlet.
  4. Turn on the E-Lift using the power switch located near the power cord.
  5. The E-Lift will initiate 'Homing' mode upon power-up, allowing you to set the Home position.
  6. If the dobby is already in the Shed Closed position, the Home position is correctly set. To confirm, press and quickly release the switch. The next press will initiate normal weaving.
  7. If the dobby is NOT in the Shed Closed position, follow these steps:
    • Press and hold the switch.
    • The E-Lift will slowly move the slide plate or dobby arm towards the Shed Closed position. Be prepared to release the switch.
    • When the Shed Closed position is reached, the slide plate or dobby arm will stop. Immediately release the switch to set the Home position. The next press of the switch will start normal weaving.

Important Notes:

  • If you release the switch prematurely during Homing, power off the E-Lift for 30 seconds, then repeat the Homing procedure.
  • If the motor stalls from holding the switch too long, follow the same reset steps as above. Correct Home position ensures the loom's slide plate or dobby arm starts in the ideal position for weaving.
