To replace the batteries in your VTech Squishy Lights Learning Tablet, follow these simple steps: First, ensure the tablet is switched off. Next, find the battery compartment on the back of the tablet. Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove the battery cover. If old batteries are present, carefully remove them by lifting one end of each battery. Insert three new AAA (AM-4/LR03) batteries, making sure to align them correctly according to the diagram inside the battery compartment. For optimal performance, VTech recommends using alkaline batteries or fully charged Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. Once the new batteries are in place, replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure it. Important Battery Safety Information: Always insert batteries with the correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity. Avoid mixing old and new batteries. Do not mix different battery types (alkaline, standard, or rechargeable). Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended. Prevent short-circuiting the supply terminals. Remove batteries if the tablet will not be used for an extended period. Dispose of batteries responsibly and avoid disposing of them in fire. If you need further assistance or encounter any problems, please contact VTech's Consumer Services Department.
