Maintaining your Jiffy Steamer J-2000's performance requires regular cleaning to remove mineral build-up. Here's how to clean your steamer:
- Safety First: Always unplug your Jiffy Steamer and allow it to cool completely before starting.
- Empty the Tank: Pour out any water remaining in the steamer's water tank.
- Initial Flush: Add 4 ounces of clean water to the tank.
- Heat and Cool: Plug the steamer in and let it heat up until it produces steam, then immediately unplug it and let it cool for about 2 minutes.
- Remove Remaining Water: Pour out the water.
- Introduce the Cleaner: Pour 5 ounces (half a bottle) of Jiffy Steamer Liquid Cleaner into the steamer. Do not run the steamer while the cleaner is inside.
- Soak: Allow the cleaner to sit in the steamer for 3 hours.
- Rinse: Pour the cleaning solution out of the steamer.
- Scrub: Use a stiff-bristled brush to gently scrub the inside of the steamer, removing any loosened sediment.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Flush the steamer with fresh water three times to ensure all cleaner residue is gone.
- Ready to Use: Your Jiffy Steamer is now clean and ready for use. If you have further issues, or if sediment continues to build up rapidly, contact Jiffy Steamer customer service at 1-731-885-6690 for more help.
