Conducting a range check on your FrSKY Archer R10 Plus receiver is a critical step for ensuring a safe and reliable flight. Here's how to do it: First, prepare your setup by placing your model at least 60 cm (2 feet) above the ground on a non-metal surface, like a wooden bench. Make sure the receiver antennas are positioned vertically. Next, access your radio's system settings. In the ETHOS system, go to the "RF System" menu. Then, use the Encoder to select the "RANGE" mode. Press the Encoder to activate the range check mode; this reduces the effective range to 1/30th for testing. During the range check, away from your model while closely monitoring the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) on your transmitter. Under normal conditions, at a distance of approximately 150 meters, the RSSI should read around 45-50. Pay close attention to the RSSI values. If the signal strength drops significantly as you move away from the model, it could indicate potential issues with signal reception. Address any problems before flying to guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience with your FrSKY Archer R10 Plus receiver.
