Mounting your Fat Cat 727 electronic dartboard is a straightforward process. Here's how to do it:
- Choose Your Spot: Select a location with at least 10 feet of clear space in front of the board to allow for comfortable play.
- Mark the Bullseye: Use a tape measure to mark a point on the wall 68 inches (172.7 cm) from the floor. This mark indicates the center of the dartboard (the bullseye).
- Find the Studs: Use a stud finder to locate wall studs. Mounting directly to a stud provides the most secure and stable installation.
- Mounting Without Studs: If a stud isn't available at your desired location, use the included mounting hardware.
- Mark for Mounting: Measure 7 inches (17.7 cm) directly above the bullseye mark and make another mark. Ensure these two marks are perfectly vertical using a level.
- Left and Right Marks: From the upper mark, measure 2 3/4 inches (6.9 cm) to the left and right, and mark the wall at these points.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Using a drill, create pilot holes at the left and right marks. These holes will accommodate the mounting screws.
- Install Wall Anchors (if needed): If you're not mounting into studs, insert wall anchors into the pilot holes, following the anchor's specific instructions. Common options include plastic anchors, toggle bolts, or hollow wall anchors.
- Insert Screws: Insert screws into the anchors, leaving about 1/4 inch (6.5 mm) of space between the screw head and the wall.
- Hang the Dartboard: Position the dartboard so that the screw heads fit into the lower part of the keyholes on the back. Then, slide the dartboard downward about 1/2 inch to secure it.
- Tighten Screws: Tighten the screws to firmly secure the dartboard to the wall.
For the most accurate and safe installation, always refer to the specific instructions and safety recommendations provided in the Fat Cat 727 Electronic Dartboard's instruction manual.
