Loading labels into your DYMO LabelWriter 550 is straightforward. First, ensure the printer is powered on. Next, remove the label spool from inside the printer, separating the spool guide from the spindle. Hold the spindle in your left hand and place the label roll on it, ensuring the labels feed from underneath. The left edge of the label roll should be firmly against the side of the spool. Slide the spool guide onto the right side of the spool, pressing it tightly against the label roll with no gap. Insert the label spool into its slot in the printer, with the labels extending from underneath. Align the left edge of the label with the left edge of the label exit slot, and then insert the label into the slot. Press the form feed button to advance the label. If the first label is partial, use the forward feed button to eject it. Remember, the left edge of the label must always align with the left edge of the exit slot. Finally, slide the label guide to the left until it aligns with the right edge of the label, but be careful not to pinch the label. Close the top cover. For visual assistance, consult the DYMO LabelWriter 550 User Manual.
